PTB supplies stacker with sideshift to Vlaming Groep

PTB Special Products developed a special stacker for a company that supplies plastic piping systems and fittings, among other things. The ESD30S has a lifting capacity of three tons and is equipped with a completely free lifting mast and a sideshift. The stacker developed by PTB is supplied to the company by logistics solutions supplier Vlaming Groep.

Vlaming Groep as dealer

The Vlaming Groep family business, located in Zwaagdijk-Oost in North Holland, operates regionally. The company purchases machines from PTB Special Products when the machines in its own range with internal transport equipment cannot provide a solution for the customer. Over the years, PTB supplied various machines to Vlaming Groep.

Plastic piping systems

The Vlaming Groep customer in question needs the stacker to store the tools used in the production process. In general, these are heavy, metal molds and parts that are stored in racks.

The stacker allows the company to optimally organize the available storage space. The company already uses several special machines from PTB within logistics.

Technical details

PTB Special Products developed the ESD30S; a heavy walk-on stacker that can lift a load of 3000 kilos at a load point of 600 mm. The lifting height of the stacker is 4,500 mm. The double mast has a completely free lift.

Stacker with side shift

The stacker is also equipped with a sideshift. When lowering back to the starting position, the sideshift is positioned exactly in the center of the mast using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
