Electric pallet truck for the transport of large panels

Metal miner TiZir is part of Eramet Titanium & Iron. The company needed a special means of transport to transport large, refractory panels through narrow corridors. PTB Special Products developed the EPD80 for this purpose; an electric pallet truck with which the panels can easily be transported through narrow corridors.

Metal mining

The Eramet Group is a multinational that mines and processes metals worldwide. Important metals that Eramet mines are iron, titanium and lithium. Eramet also mines minerals.

Transporting large panels

Refractory panels are used in the extraction process. These large, three-meter-long panels weigh 8 tons. TiZir needed a special means of transport that can transport the panels through narrow corridors on a smooth surface.

Electric pallet truck

PTB Special Products tackled this task and developed a drawbar-controlled pedestrian machine. This electric pallet truck has a lifting capacity of 8 tons.
