Heavy-duty stacker for Madern

Madern International BV sells high-quality machines with rotating molds worldwide, primarily for the packaging industry. The company also manufactures and develops applications for other materials, such as non-woven materials and plastics. To change the molds in the machines, Madern uses high-quality, custom-made transport machines. Madern regularly engages PTB as a partner for the movement of these transport machines.

5-ton stacker

Usually, PTB produces heavy-duty pallet trucks for Madern, but this time a 5-ton stacker was chosen for Madern's new rotation molding system. This ESS50 is exceptional because the load center is approximately 900 mm.

Due to the lifting weight, with the load center even at 900 mm, a heavy mast construction has been applied. This construction corresponds to that of a 10-ton forklift or even heavier models. PTB is proud of delivering this unique heavy-duty stacker to Madern!

Convenient operation

The 5-ton stacker has a riding control mode. The operator stands on a shielded riding platform and operates the machine from a centrally located control console. All functions can be conveniently operated from this control console.

Technical details

The load-bearing part of the stacker consists of two self-designed forks with a length of 1,460 mm and a width of 50 mm. The forks are precisely tailored to the rotating tools used by Madern in our own machine factory.

This is done to keep the basic height as low as possible while still creating enough body for the force play. The support platform has a width of 600 mm, a length of 2,000 mm, and a basic height of 150 mm. The insertion height of the forks is 500 mm, and the lifting stroke is 300 mm.

Shock absorber and side guiding rollers

The support platform is further equipped with a shock absorber at the front and with metal side-guiding rollers on the sides. At the front and approximately 1.7 meters from the front, the machine is equipped with plastic side-guiding rollers.

These shock absorbers, along with the guiding strips and rollers, ensure that the machine is guided to the correct position for lifting without damaging the rotating tools. Finally, the machine is coated with a 2-component coating in a color specified by the customer.
