Hitachi is a manufacturer of cranes and earth-moving machines. The Hitachi factory in Amsterdam needed a means of transport that could move heavy cabins through the factory. These cabins weigh up to 10 tons.
Because the cabins are quite voluminous, it was important for safety that the operator of the PTB machine can see over the cabin from the driving position.
PTB then developed a pallet truck with a raised standing area for the driver, so that he or she has a clear view of the route to be covered while driving.
