10 ton pallet truck

A 10 ton pallet truck is a great alternative for a conventional diesel forklift. In practice many companies use large forklifts for tasks that could be done by a PTB pallet truck or stacker. The 10 ton pallet truck is driven by one or more electromotors and powered by a battery. 

The PTB heavy-duty pallet truck compared to a conventional forklift:

10 ton in a level position

For a customer from Thailand, we built two EPS105, which are 10,5 ton pallet trucks. The trucks were designed to carry pallets with 10.500 kg of cargo into a shipping container. This had to be done by driving over a dock leveler, which often stands in an 11.5 degree angle. Driving over such a steep slope into a cargo container requires some serious power, yet the truck also has to be relatively small. A regular high capacity forklift would be too massive for this job. Another request was to design a system which keeps the cargo level when driving over the slope.
