PTB Special develops custom-made stackers with lifting capacities up to 50 metric tons. We have delivered several 3-ton stackers such as the one below: an electric stacker with stainless steel forks for lifting machine frames. This particular 3 ton stacker can lift this weight at 1800 millimeter load center distance. The load center distance is the distance from the fork heel to the center of gravity of the load.

We also offer numerous extra safety devices for the 3 ton stacker. For example, integrated sensors that identify obstacles. When the sensor identifies an obstacle, there are three options: it will sound an alarm, show a light signal or the stacker will stop automatically. You can choose one of these options or combine them to prevent collisions.
There are different operation methods for the 3 ton stacker available. The walk-along stacker is easy to use and very convenient for short distances. The tiller-handle can be placed left, right or in the middle. By placing the tiller-handle on the side, you make sure that the operator always has a good view of the load. For medium distances a ride-on platform allows the operator to reach a higher travel speed.
For long distances and extra comfort we advise a seat. The seat in a 3 ton stacker is preferably placed sideways. This ensures that the operator can oversee the forward and reverse movements. When carrying out a variety of tasks, you can opt for the combination steering. The stacker can then be operated either standing up or sitting down, with a retractable seat. With the seat folded, it works as a backrest.
