A 5 ton stacker for your business

PTB Special stackers come in varying shapes and sizes. That is how we make sure that the stacker fits your business process. To ensure the safety of its operator, we apply safety systems to all our stackers:

Upon entering a corner, the speed of the stacker is automatically reduced
In stationary mode, the parking brake is automatically engaged
When the operator releases the control, the stacker stops automatically

We also provide every customer with the option to add safety devices to their 5 ton stacker. For example, integrated sensors that recognize obstacles. When the sensor senses an obstacle, there are three options: it will sound an alarm, shed a visible light signal or the stacker will stop automatically. You can choose one of these options or combine them to prevent collisions from happening.

Operating the 5 ton stacker

There are various operation methods for the 5 ton stacker. The walk-along stacker is easy to use and very convenient for short distances. The drawbar can be placed left, right or in the middle. By placing the drawbar on the side, you make sure that the operator always has a good view of the load. For medium distances a ride-on platform allows the operator to reach a higher travel speed.

For long distances and extra comfort we advise a seat. The seat in a 5 ton stacker is often placed sideways. This ensures that the operator can oversee the forward and reverse movements. When carrying out a variety of tasks, you can opt for the combi steering. The stacker can then be operated standing up or sitting down, thanks to a folding seat. When folded up, this also serves as back support.
